If affiliate links are introduced

Readers will see plain language close to the first recommendation or commissionable link: Spec & Signal may earn a commission if a reader buys through links in the article; it does not affect the editorial conclusion.

Commissionable and paid links will use rel="sponsored". “Affiliate link” by itself is not enough disclosure.

Editorial separation

A commission rate does not determine whether a product is covered, how it is scored, or what conclusion is reached. Recommendations require a documented basis, accurate destination, known limitations, and an update or removal process when a product becomes unavailable, unsafe, or materially different.
